Grammy-nominated Reggae artiste, Rocky Dawuni has made things clear in reference to his recent comments that were seen by many as a jab to Stonebwoy.
In a chit-chat on Citi TV, Rocky Dawuni explained that getting featured on an album nominated in the Grammys does not make one a nominee.
“There is a lot of confusion, as you would understand, Grammy nomination is for a body of work, so there is a difference between a nominee for a Grammy and also featuring to be part of a song of a Grammy-nominated album.
“You have contributed to the song, but you are not a nominee. The thing is, I am not the one saying it. You should go to the Academy website and see who the nominees are,” he said.
Fast forward, Stonebwoy shaded Rocky Dawuni for his failure to give him the needed appreciation and recognition.
He wrote; “Chairman is so quick to remove credit on a kid! We know them oo. But we think say them change o chai them never change”, Stonebwoy wrote on Snapchat.
However, in an interview with Hitz FM, Rocky Dawuni has stated that he feels hurt that people associated Stonebwoy’s name with his comments.
According to him, he and Stonebwoy have a strong connection
