Investigative freelance journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has gently warned President Akufo-Addo not to use his address to the nation as an avenue to campaign to Ghanaians.
According to him, the campaign period is over and as election day lies just a few hours away, President Akufo-Addo in his planned address to the nation later tonight, should respect the constitution.
This comes on the back of an announcement by the office of the president announcing an address that will be delivered by the president at 8 pm tonight ahead of the election tomorrow December 7 2020.
“The campaign ended yesterday. No candidate should break the law by campaigning under the guise of addressing the nation,” he wrote.

His comment has been deemed political and bias by many. These people are attacking him for insinuating that the president will be capitalizing on the address to the nation to campaign.
@afaristeven: A president cannot address his nation again? Or he has ceased to be a president. The kind of journalists we have in Ghana. Do something about it and stop this empty evasive bubble.
@gnkwame: And what is the pre election briefing at 2pm by the ndc for then. Don’t just be posting cos you have to post. Be guided small.
@SamuelBoamah2: Ignorant journalists Nana Addo is not just a candidate but most importantly the president and leader of the nation he must let Ghanaians know how ready and prepared the nation is for the elections
